I am so excited to finally share the Rittler wedding with everyone! Summer is slow which means I have time to share some of my favorites from the spring. A couple of years ago, I photographed Kenny's sister Sarah's wedding in New Orleans. Little did I know I would be photographing her brothers wedding a few years later. There was so much love and laughter between Alli and Kenny and it was amazing to document. I asked Alli to write up how her and Kenny met and then how he proposed, and this is what she had to say:
"Kenny and I met on a Sunday back in September of 2014 playing beach volleyball. A mutual friend of ours put together a team to play in a tournament that day that we both happen to be on. I can remember noticing his very laid back personality he had, he had a very chill approach about everything, I think that’s what caught my eye! From there, he got my number, we started texting and hanging out a lot, we became more like great friends that led into us dating. Little did I know he was going to be the one who I got to spend the rest of my life with!
We spoke about marriage pretty early on in our relationship, we both knew it was something we wanted together, but just speaking about it lasted a long time, that’s all it was. Then one day, it got really real, he went on to go design a ring! He wanted to make sure I knew as little as possible, and took his time making sure it was as perfect as ever! He came over one day to tell me that his aunt had bought us this boat ride as a Christmas gift, I’m thinking we’ll get to rent a boat on on lake Pontchartrain for a day, I definitely didn’t think it would be this romantic Gondola ride in City Park here in New Orleans! As that morning approached, I didn’t think anything of it, I didn’t suspect a thing (mostly because the chances I thought he would take to propose, it didn’t happen), we head off to City Park to take this boat ride that we laughed about for a couple of weeks prior to. It was one of New Orlean’s coldest days that year, we bundled up and headed on our way! Lovely sights, romantic music and great conversations all lead up to us approaching a bridge that had about 30 of our closest friends and family! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I couldn’t do anything but cry! The emotions I had, from seeing everyone there sharing that moment with us, to this gorgeous ring, to knowing this was going to be my Husband! Y’all, I just cried! Of course I said yes! Kenny really outdid himself that moment, he made, what every girl dreams of, the most perfect! I will NEVER forget that day and how special it was to both of us."
