I loved everything about Ashley's bridal session. The moody feel of the Mouton Plantation when it's overcast is exceptional. Her Justin Alexander dress looked so good on her. I like when my brides choose to do a bridal session with me. It's trial run with hair and makeup and trial run with your dress to make sure you don't need any last minute alternations. Ashley and I found out during her bridal session that her dress didn't fit right. Thankfully I was able to secure it for her session and that she had time to be able to take it back to the seamstress before her big day.
The same thing happened with me during my bridal session. I didn't like the way my dress fit me and had to take it back for a third alteration. Some of these things aren't really noticeable until you are in your dress and moving around. Then other things you don't notice until you get your photos back. Some brides are lucky and won't need to have anything else done, but there are a few of us still fighting with our dress after our bridal sessions. Just add that to the list of things to stress about.
I just want to take a second to appreciate Ashley's veil because it was absolutely amazing. The way it laid, the way it moved, the texture of it. I had so much fun playing and incorporating her veil into her pictures. The light at the Mouton Plantation is so different some days. When it's sunny the light is so much warmer but when it's overcast it's like a giant soft box is place there diffusing the light just perfectly.
I am happy to finally get these beautiful, moody, images up on my blog.
