Here I am a year later blogging Aysia & Quinton's wedding day. You know how people say the older you get, the faster times goes. I am a living example of this. I met Aysia at her sisters wedding and we just clicked. When Aysia & Quinton got engaged, she reached out for me to photograph their day. Obviously I said yes! I am happy to finally share a few of my favorites from their day. You can view their engagement session here.
Aysia's advice to brides planning their weddings:
I can’t say this enough - don’t drive yourself crazy trying to please everyone. I really struggled with other’s opinions of what my wedding should be and there just comes a point where I had to realize it wasn’t about them. Remember to treasure this time together because it only happens once!
Aysia's favorite memories:
Favorite memories - I guess my first tequila shot isn’t what you’re looking for? 1. Once I was dressed and ready I was a ball of nerves. It wasn’t until locking eyes with Quinton walking down the aisle that I felt myself relax. It was so reassuring in that moment that I was exactly where I was supposed to be. 2. I’m not an emotional person but walking into our venue in my dress and seeing my grandmother there waiting is a moment I’ll never forget. We cried in each others arms and all I can remember is feeling so completely whole. We lost her less than six months later but I will cherish that day with her forever. 3. The garter toss was definitely the highlight of the night. Quinton completely surprised us all when he slid on his knees across the room and broke out into a little dance. If you know him at all then you know that’s definitely not the norm for him! My only regret is not having that on video!
