Aimee & Brock are the kind of people who you instantly fall in love with. They are easy going, fun, and two of the sweetest people. Their session was filled with contagious smiles and lots of laughter. Before our session Aimee and I had only emailed back and forth a few times before I met her at another wedding I shot. I instantly knew we would be a good fit for each other.
I had Aimee write about Brock’s proposal and it pulled my heartstrings! Here is what she had to say:
“Brock and I got engaged on November 5, 2016. We were in Destin for the weekend for our friends’ wedding that occurred the night before. We had a very normal day that Saturday. We woke up, went to lunch, and did some shopping. After shopping, we decided to go take a nap (or at least I decided to go take a nap.) I fell asleep and some time later was woken up by Brock asking if I loved him. I was a bit grouchy and halfway asleep but still responded with a “yes.” He then asked “like love me, love me?” Once again, I responded with a not so enthused, “yes.” “Like love, love, love me?” “Yes, Brock.” “Like love me enough to marry me?” I still didn’t know what was going on, but I responded with “Of course!” At this time, I could feel him grabbing my hand, and he asked “So, will you?” I exclaimed with a “Is this for real!?” It took a while for it to kick in. Once reality set in, I couldn’t stop the tears. I truly felt like the happiest person in the world to know that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and I still do. I know Brock initially had something else planned for the proposal, but this was so perfect for me. I love that it was a moment shared just between the two us. This is definitely a very vivid memory that I will hold near and dear to my heart forever.”
